If you have never decorated a room with wallpaper it can be quite tricky the first time you try. There are a few different ways in which you can paper a wall and depending on the quality of the walls, you may need to put a layer or lining paper on first before you put your patterned paper on the top. Lining paper is a great place to start as it is a lit easier to get right and even if you do make a mistake it does not matter. When putting any wallpaper up you first need to check if it is paste the wall paper or paste the paper. If you have patterned paper then you will need to match patterns. Do not make the mistake that many do where you cut 10 strips of paper all the same size to find that none of them match up with the patter of the previous piece. Ideally have two rolls of paper open at the same time if you are sure you are going to end up using both. This will allow you to waste less paper as you can pick the role that matches the pattern whist wasting the least amount of paper at the top and alternate between the two as needed. When you have pasted the paper fold each side in and then hang it for a few minutes as the paper will stretch. Once you have it on the wall, try not to mess with it too much but be sure to get the bubbles out.
